After the 2004 tsunami, Mariners and its partner adopted the fishing village of Chinnakuppam, committing to completely rehabilitate it. We are working alongside our partner to help provide the hope of Jesus Christ to this broken community. Our ministry partners include, Christian Missions Charitable Trust, the International Princess Project and Sathyam Ministries/Free Wheelchair Mission.

The India team is still working toward full rehabilitation in the tsunami village for 200 families. Building new homes, a community center and a church to serve 4 surrounding villages. We will train young girls and women rescued from prostitution new skills in sewing and life. Distribute wheelchairs throughout India. Educate Dalit (lowest caste) boys and girls who would not otherwise be in school. Leadership development of Christian Missions Charitable Trust staff.
